| JOS Landscape Architecture is an award-winning
design firm providing site design, landscape restoration, master
planning and landscape management consultation services since 1988.
We offer services directly to commercial, institutional and residential
clients in addition to working as consultants to allied professionals. |

| Jayne Spector is personally involved
in all aspects of landscape design projects from initial client
contact through post-construction evaluation as well as ongoing
site management assistance. Prior to launching JOS Landscape Architecture
she was employed as a landscape architect in
Princeton, NJ and also taught in the Department
of Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University. Jayne holds degrees
in both Landscape Architecture and Horticulture and is licensed
as a landscape architect in Pennsylvania and New Jersey |

| Through the design process, we bring
together the needs of the user and the distinctive
features of the site to create a landscape that responds to
a unique set of conditions. Our experience has led us to avoid
the extremes. We acknowledge that designed landscapes are not
pristine wilderness, but they can embody the precepts of sustainable design.
We believe that the most inspired designs honor the past while
accommodating today’s users. |
 |
|
 |
| Computer technology enables us to
convey a wide range of ideas very efficiently without costly
repetition of tasks. We currently integrate the use of CAD,
digital photography, automated material calculations and internet
communications from the conceptual planning through to the finished
documents. Just because we have the hammers, we recognize that
not every task is a nail. Sometimes we even sketch on paper
when its the most direct way to get an idea across. |
 |
|
 |
| We are a small firm which has built
a reputation for doing what we do best - landscape planning
rooted in the plants, animals, soils and cultures native to
the Delaware Valley. This has allowed us to act as local consultants
to national design firms to create landscapes that are
sustainable in our region. We participate in multi-disciplinary
design projects with local surveying, architectural, engineering,
construction, interior and graphic design firms. We have developed
relationships with many talented professionals and artisans
which we can call on to meet the specific needs of individual
projects. |
